local magazine
Information about ‘The Stream’ – the local community magazine.
(click here to read some articles from ‘The Stream’)
‘The Stream’ is produced by the Community Care Association in Great Ayton, and it is much more than a collection of articles (a few of which can be found on this site in the Stream category). It contains a huge amount of information for those who live in and around Great Ayton. (Local adverts, shop opening times, contact information for everything you are likely to need – milkman to local council, etc.) 3,000 copies are produced, one issue in spring and another in autumn. These are delivered free to every house in Ayton, Newton, Easby, Battersby & Battersby Junction, Kildale & Ingleby Greenhow.
Extras go to local Libraries, Churches, Health Centres, etc. in Stokesley, Hutton Rudby & villages visited by the Community Care Association’s mini-buses, to publicise CCA facilities.
extract from the latest issue:
Donations are welcome – we no longer cover our costs since we have increased the number of copies, but we don’t want to raise charges as we try to offer a service for small & new businesses, and we recognise that some advertisers are mainly, kindly, supporting the CCA.
